1940's Slingerland 16" White Marine Pearl Floor Tom 16 x 16
Very good working condition. This drum is complete and structurally sound.
There is a professional repair on the interior of the shell. It looks like a ply of walnut was glued over two parts of the interior of the shell. There is no exterior issues or damage, the shell is in round with original edges. I can only imagine there were standard Slingerland inner ply splits the owner surmised to be issues with the shell. There is no evidence that any of the mahogany was removed. It is very clean & even.
Re-rings were re-glued as well. They are clean and even with original edges. Modern heads fit on nicely with just a touch of a snug fit. Currently fitted with a Remo Fiberskyn 3 batter and sounds great.
Wrap has aged evenly. Finish shows yellowing, scratches, and scuffs. The seam is straight and holding well.
The hardware on the drum is in good working condition. The lugs show speckled pitting along with some scratches and scuffs. Muffler works well. A handful of the tension rods are not Slingerland
Complete and ready to go.
